The Mogollon Chapter 1235 of the National Association of Active and Retired Federal Employees will hold its annual picnic and fund-raiser Wednesday, May 22, beginning at 11 a.m. and ending around 2 p.m.
This year, there will be barbecue pork sandwiches with all the trimmings for $6; coffee and lemonade will be provided as well as desserts.
Each person will be responsible for their own place setting.
There will be games, 50/50 drawings and music. The picnic will be at Rumsey Park at Ramada 4. All active and retired federal employees are invited to attend. Remember, any new member receives a free lunch. Also, don’t forget the Payson Food Bank and bring nonperishable food items.

Rim Country Corvettes
Rim Country Corvettes is not a formal club with meetings, dues, etc. It is a group of Corvette owners from the Rim Country who enjoy driving their special cars and meeting new Corvette owners with the same interests.
There is a monthly run that members are alerted to via the Internet, with a meeting location in Payson and other details.

Red Cross meeting
Rim Country American Red Cross Service Area holds its monthly meeting at noon, Wednesday, May 22 in the Payson Library meeting room.
Interested persons are welcome to attend. The Payson-based Service Area covers 2,500 miles of high-risk potential for brush fires and wildfires, and Rim Country Red Cross volunteers respond 24/7 to meet the immediate needs of those affected by these and other disasters.
Five volunteers recently traveled to the San Carlos Indian Reservation to provide meals for several hundred residents when high winds downed power lines. All Red Cross services are made possible by the generosity of the American public.
Payson Area Stoke Survivors
A support group for stroke survivors and their caregivers is organizing in the Rim Country. The first meeting will be from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 22 (thereafter it will be the third Wednesday of each month) at the Mogollon Health Alliance Activity Room, next to the Almost New Shop on East Aero Drive.

The Soroptimists will have an evening meeting at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, at Tiny’s Restaurant, 600 E. Highway 260.

The Tuesday Morning Breakfast Bunch, a group of single men and women, meet at 9 a.m. every week at The Journigan House to visit and plan future activities.

TOPS 0373 Payson (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter has changed its meeting place from Shiloh Christian Fellowship to the Senior Circle, 215 N. Beeline Highway, Payson. The group still meets every Thursday morning.
The weigh-in starts at 7:20 a.m. and the meeting starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 9:30 a.m.

Members of the Rim Country 4-Wheelers would like to invite anyone interested in 4-wheeling to join them at their monthly meetings held the fourth Thursday of each month at the Lamplighter RV Park Community Center in Star Valley.
