Movie Reviews Should Run Before The Film Leaves

I just read Andy McKinney’s wonderful (as always) review of “Quartet,” in The Rim Review. It sounds like a great movie. I think I’ll go see it. Oh, wait! It just left Payson last week.

This is not the first time the movie reviews do not coincide with the screening schedule.

Wouldn’t it make sense to tout a good movie, and then give us a chance to see it?

Rim Review editor’s note: Unfortunately, some movies only last a week at Sawmill Theatres. So, by the time our movie critics see those films and write their reviews for the next edition, the film has already been pulled from the theater’s lineup, as was the case with “Quartet.”
