The Payson High School class of 2013 collected their honors last night at Payson field amidst a throng of families, friends and well-wishers.
No high jinks were performed, unless you count throwing beach balls and min-flying disks. A bevy of students collected a host of scholarships, with several marching to the podium several times. All told, students collected nearly $750,000 in scholarships.
After the tradition throwing of mortar boards into the air, many students and their families spent much time on the field before making their way to cars, vans and parties. Many salutations included: ”Have a great summer, but keep in touch.”
