The Horseshoe Tournament at the 2013 Mountain High Games is not a small deal. Competitors will be betting their aim on $1,000 in cash prizes. Payouts will be to the top three places in the Expert and Novice divisions.

Sponsored by the Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Blind Draw Horseshoe Tournament is one of the most popular events each year at the Mountain High Games. More than 120 people from all over Arizona competed in the event last year. The Arizona State Horseshoe Pitchers Association endorses the contest, which is a doubles tournament with a double elimination format.

The tournament is at noon Saturday, June 1 at the Payson Event Center.

Check-in is at 11 a.m. and contestants are urged to pre-register if possible. There is a $10 registration fee.
