Center Point Dental To Open New Office

Additional space allows for growth

The soft tan paint was getting applied and the leaf-inspired sconces wired up Wednesday as crews hurried to get Center Point Dental ready to open in the next coming weeks.

The new space couldn’t come soon enough for the office’s staff and patients who outgrew the practice’s current home months ago in the Bonanza Square off West Frontier Street.

Dr. Brett Flaherty and his staff are having a grand opening of their new dental office from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 8 and Saturday, Nov. 9 at 906 S. Beeline Highway.

It’s only been a year since Dr. Brett Flaherty opened Center Point Dental and he’s already amassed a client list that keeps him busy around the clock.

The new office, near State Farm and Chili’s, at 906 S. Beeline Highway, is more than double the size and will feature all new state-of-the-art equipment.

“It is very exciting,” Flaherty said of the new space. “We started out with a humble clinic and made the best of it and as we have taken care of our patients, they have really taken care of us and made this move possible.”

Flaherty and his family moved to Payson in 2011 and Flaherty originally joined up with Anderson Dental. He struck out on his own in 2012, however, taking over a small clinic with the help of several staffers who came with him from Anderson.

The team made the best of the cramped quarters, but quickly realized they would need more room.

“I am happy to offer the same level of service we were, but in a more professional, comfortable setting,” Flaherty said.

And the new space couldn’t be more different. Tons of windows let in natural light creating a warm feel and there is a large waiting room for clients. Staff member Laci Sopeland said there would also be a private surgery suite, room for a pediatric dentist who specializes in sedation and all new dentistry equipment including the best in X-ray equipment.

And there is room for another dentist. While Flaherty has no plans to add another dentist now, there may be need for extra help as the business grows.

“Our vision of the good we can provide drove us to build a facility that allows for growth to serve more people and provide future jobs in our community,” he said. “We have learned that in our town if we take care of our patients and make them a part of our family, in return we get to take care of their families and friends and this is how we have grown.”

Center Point offers everything from general to cosmetic dentistry, including implants, dentures, bridges, root canals and wisdom teeth extractions.

Sopeland said it is Flaherty though that makes the practice so successful.

“He is one of those people that came into town and was instantly liked,” she said. “He is just a very caring person.”

Flaherty said it is important everyone have access to affordable dental care.

“Our office loves donating our services to local causes so children and adults can have means to the care they need.”
