Moose Lodge events
The Loyal Order of the Moose meetings are at 6 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. The Women of the Moose meet at 6 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month.
The lodge has a Thursday Fish Fry from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and weekly dinner specials are available.

Bereaved parents support group
The Compassionate Friends offers hope, reassurance and a safe place to talk about our children with others who understand the pain of losing a child. Anyone who has lost a child (or grandchild) at any time, at any age is welcome to attend.
The group meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at 102 W. Roundup, Suite D.

Join the Gila County Sheriff’s Posse
The Gila County Sheriff’s Posse is looking for new members.
The Posse was founded back in 1967 as a volunteer group to serve the Sheriff and the people of Gila County. The Posse is called on for many emergencies such as forest fires, floods and snow.
Meetings are held at 7 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at the Gila County Sheriff’s Posse building, located just north of Main Street on McLane Road. The public is invited.

Rim Country 4 Wheelers
Members of the Rim Country 4 Wheelers invite anyone interested in 4-wheeling to join them at 8 a.m. each Wednesday in the parking lot at the east end of Bashas’ by Jiffy Lube. Normally anywhere from four to a dozen or more members participate and the destination is usually determined at that time. Runs also occur once a month on a Saturday and the destination is usually predetermined at the prior month’s meeting.

Breast Cancer Support Group
We meet on the second Thursday of every month from 12:30 p.m. until around 2:30 p.m. at Mount Cross Lutheran Church, 301 E. Highway 260 (just past Safeway) in Payson. This month’s meeting is Thursday, Nov. 14.
Our support group is for anyone who has been diagnosed with breast cancer — be it a new diagnosed or a longtime survivor — we welcome you.
This month, we have a special speaker, Richard Staudt, MOT, OTR/L. He is a Nationally Certified Registered and Licensed Occupational Therapist and Massage Therapist. Richard specializes in manual therapy involving Myofascial Release and Craniosacral Therapy, treating the whole person for functional recovery by reducing pain and increasing freedom of movement.
