Donate For Kids’ Christmas

This letter is twofold. First of all it is to thank Payson Rotary Club Foundation and Modified Motorcycle Association (MMA) for partnering with the Rim Country Optimist Club to provide Christmas presents and a party for displaced and disadvantaged students. We also thank Payson Senior Center for allowing us to host our party there both last year and again this December. Each year we have been able to increase the number of children we provide for.

The Christmas gifts for the youth include clothes, toys, books, games, etc. MMA has already put out boxes to collect toys books and games and members of the Optimist and Rotary clubs will shop for the clothes before the wrapping takes place on Dec. 8.

How can you help? Place new toys, books, etc. in MMA’s boxes found all over Payson and outlying communities. Boxes will be picked up from the businesses on Dec. 6. Note: the boxes have an MMA Christmas party invite for anyone to come to. This is also a fund-raiser to purchase clothes for the Christmas party. New children’s clothes can be donated, but monetary donations are more helpful as it allows us to get correct sizes and wishes that youth have expressed a need for. Donations by Dec. 1 as a deadline would be appreciated so we can shop and organize for the gift wrapping. For more information, contact co-chairmen, Bonnie Young 478-6969 or Allic Bales 951-3908.
