Payson Elks

The Payson Elks Lodge - B.P.O.Elks. 2154 - at 1206 N. Beeline Highway, serves lunches from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Other upcoming activities:

Unity of Payson

Praise and Worship Service planned

Overeaters Anonymous

Overeaters Anonymous meets from 2 p.m. Mondays at the Rim Country Health and Retirement Community Room, 807 W. Longhorn Road (after turning in the main driveway, turn right at the first driveway. The Community Room is in the center of the apartment complex). There are no fees or dues.

Veterans of Foreign Wars

The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States of America will meet at 6 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month at the American Legion Post #69, located at 709 E. Highway 260.

Buddhist Meditation and Study Group

ALANON meetings

ALANON meetings are at 6 p.m. Monday at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 511 S. St. Philips St., Payson, and at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Star Valley Southern Baptist Church, E. Highway 260, Star Valley.

Payson Area Singles     

The Tuesday Morning Breakfast Bunch, a group of single men and women, meet at 9 a.m. every week at Tiny’s Restaurant, 600 E. Highway 260, to visit and plan future activities. Upcoming event include:

• Tuesday and Thursday members attend a Silver Sneakers exercise program together at Club USA at the Sawmill Crossing center.

• The Christmas party will be at Tiny’s Restaurant at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 12. The group will be having dinner, a visit from Santa, gifts, and more.

Masonic Lodge

The Sy Harrison Masonic Lodge #70, located at 200 E. Rancho Road in Payson, meets every Tuesday at 7 p.m. A dinner is held at 5:30 p.m. every second Tuesday for members, families and guests with an after-dinner program followed by the lodge’s Stated Meeting at 7 p.m.

Order of the Eastern Star

The Ponderosa Chapter #64 O.E.S. meets at 7 p.m. the first and third Mondays at the Masonic Lodge, 200 E. Rancho Road, Payson.

A potluck dinner is held at 5:30 at the second meeting of the month.

In addition to the meetings, the ladies gather at 10 a.m. every Wednesday for a fun game of canasta.

Card players wanted

The Saving Graces of Payson — a Canasta card-playing group — is looking for a few ladies who enjoy fun, laughter and friendship.

This Red Hat group meets at 10 a.m. the first Wednesday of every month at the Crosswinds Restaurant patio room. There is a break for lunch around noon and play and resumes after lunch. Anyone interested in joining will be welcomed. You do not need to know how to play, the members will be happy to teach the game.
