Judy McFall shot 54 to win the Flight A championship in the Payson Women’s Golf Association’s Three Blind Mice event at Payson Golf Course on Tuesday, Oct. 1.
The contest featured three holes discounted at the end of the round.
Claudia Bullard was runner-up with 59.
Susan Torrens (53) won Flight B and Joyce Goff (53) was second. Jeanne Griffin (52) won Flight C.
Nearest the pin were Claudia Bullard (5th hole) and Joyce Goff (17th).
On Sept. 26 the PWGA was invited to join the 9 Holers for a scramble. The winners were Karen Peterson, Carolyn Davis, Cece McCain and Nancy Rourke. Nearest the pin went to Shari Cody, who also won the straightest drive contest. Karen Peterson also took the honors in both the putting and chip-in contests.
The team of Claudia Bullard, Susan Torrens, Earlene Brewer and Jeanne Griffin won the PWGA scramble on Sept. 24.
Claudia Bullard was closest to the pin on the 8th hole and Jeanne Griffin claimed that prize on No. 14.
The three-round Club Championship begins Tuesday, Oct. 8, with the second round on Oct. 14 and the final round Oct. 15.
