A top panel of judges has picked this year’s finalists for some of Rim Country’s most prestigious business awards. A Nov. 12 award luncheon will honor the finalists — and announce the winners.
The Fifth Annual Rim Country Business Awards’ panel of judges have concluded the judging of nominees for an array of awards that recognize not only innovative business strategies, but contributions to the community as well. Arizona Public Service is sponsoring the awards this year for a program developed by the Northern Gila County Economic Development Corporation, Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Payson .
The 17 nominees will contend for three awards, including Small Business of the Year, Large Business of the Year, and top Non-Profit Organization.
The panel judged the companies on business excellence as rated by other local business people.
The winners will be revealed at the Awards Luncheon, at the First Church of the Nazarene on Nov. 12.
Winners of the Jim Young Business Person of the Year and the Pat Willis Business Excellence Award, the Community Service Award, as well as a Special Lifetime Achievement Award, will also be announced at the luncheon.
The luncheon will feature Casey Rooney, president of Cottonwood Economic Development and will be catered by Miss Fitz 260 Cafe, with a choice of entrees.
Tickets will be sold on a “first come, first sold” basis at the chamber, located at the corner of Main Street and Beeline.
