Payson Elks

The Elks serve lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday at the Lodge, 1206 N. Beeline Highway.

Friday, Oct. 25, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., dinner from the menu; 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Plan B Band.

Saturday, Oct. 26, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Elks Jam Band jam session; 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., food served.

Sunday, Oct. 27, noon to 5 p.m., food served; 1 p.m., bingo, doors open at noon; 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., happy hour; 4:30 p.m., pool tournament.

Monday, Oct. 28, 6 p.m., game night.

Tuesday, Oct. 29, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Halloween party, free to all children from kindergarten through the fifth grade, parents or a guardian must accompany the children.

Payson Flycasters

The Payson Flycasters Club will meet Saturday, Oct. 26 at Tiny’s Restaurant, 600 E. Highway 260. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the meeting starts at 9 a.m.

Payson Walkers

Members of the Payson Walkers meet at 9 a.m. daily for an hour-long hike on pavement. The following starting points have been scheduled:

Oct. 27: Library off McLane Road

Oct. 28: Elks Lodge on Airport

Oct. 29: Green Valley Parks and Rec

Oct. 30: Walgreens

Oct. 31: Gila Community College north lot

Please park away from the most used areas of any parking lot so as to not block businesses/clients, etc.

Unity of Payson

Unity of Payson hosts Michelle Abraham at 10 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 27. Her talk is titled, “Fixed State of Consciousness.”

The Payson Center for Spiritual Awareness will host Wesley Ruth, who will talk on a subject to be announced Sunday, Oct. 27.

Overeaters Anonymous meets from 2 p.m. Mondays at the Rim Country Health and Retirement Community Room, 807 W. Longhorn Road (after turning in the main driveway, turn right at the first driveway. The Community Room is in the center of the apartment complex). There are no fees or dues. The only membership requirement is a desire to not compulsively overeat anymore.

Rim Country 4 Wheelers

Members of the Rim Country 4 Wheelers invite anyone interested in four-wheeling to join them at 8 a.m. each Wednesday in the parking lot at the east end of Bashas’ by Jiffy Lube. Normally anywhere from four to a dozen or more members participate and the destination is usually determined at that time. Runs also occur once a month on a Saturday and the destination is usually predetermined at the prior month’s meeting.

Rim Country Corvettes

Rim Country Corvettes is not a formal club with meetings, dues, etc. It is a group of Corvette owners from the Rim Country who enjoy driving their special cars and meeting new Corvette owners with the same interests. There is a monthly run that members are alerted to via the Internet, with a meeting location in Payson and other details.
