Community Support Goes A Long Way To Help Kids

For $50, Payson Community Kids (PCK) can feed five families of three for five days or purchase three winter coats for the children.

And $50 would pay for one hour of PCK’s after-school program where about 50 children a day get a nutritious snack when they walk in the door, homework help, tutoring, learning to give back to their community and receive a warm meal before they go home.

PCK’s inaugural Fun Furniture Fund-raiser dubbed “Chair-ish Payson Kids” is under way in about 44 businesses around town, where 60 different pieces of furniture art created by individuals in the community are on display and available to bid on in a silent auction that culminates Saturday, Nov. 2.

The minimum bid on any of the entries is $50, with all the proceeds going to support PCK, a 501(c)(3) organization.
