Halloween Party for children tonight

The Payson Elks Lodge Halloween Party for kids 12 and under is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 29. An adult must accompany children. There will be hot dogs and hamburgers; kids eat free, with a minimal charge for adults. Expect carnival games, face painting, entertainment and more.

Senior Center Halloween Party

Members of the Senior Center, 514 W. Main St., will celebrate their Halloween Party at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 31 in the Center Dining Room. There will be prizes, fun, games and a delicious lunch of eyeballs, worms, sautéed spiders and mud pies with eerie treats.

Advance reservations are required and may be made at the Center or by calling (928) 474-4876.

Harvest Block Party

Mountain Bible Church, 302 E. Rancho Rd., Payson, will host a Harvest Block Party from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 31.

There will be games, candy, food and fun.

Trunk or Treat Halloween Festival

The Town of Payson Trunk or Treat Halloween Festival from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 31 on Main Street, next to the Oxbow, while inside the Oxbow there will be a Haunted House, presented by the Payson High School Drama Department, with different levels of “scariness” depending on the age of visitors. The theme for this year’s house is “Childhood Nightmares.”

Admission is $3 per person or $2 plus a can of food for the area’s food banks. A portion of the proceeds will help support the PHS Drama Department activities.

Halloween Carnival

There will be a Halloween Carnival at the Tonto Apache Gym from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 31. There will be free candy, food, games and prizes with a bounce house — all kid safe. Call (928) 474-7093 for more information.
