Jim Kennedy shot 62 to win the A Flight championship in the Payson Men’s Golf Association low net flighted event at Payson Golf Course on March 26. Tim Ernst was second and Don Pollack third.
Bill Mullins won the B Flight with 66, while Ron Fischer was the runner-up with the same score and Popeye Clay (69) placed third.
Ron Ressler’s 65 edged Don Gyde (66) for the C Flight crown, while Ed Kuhns (67) took third.
Jeff Kelley took low gross honors with 71.
Winning closest to the pin prizes were: Oscar Garcia (No. 2, 8 feet, 2 inches), Ron Ressler (No. 5, 19-6), Dan Dorough (No. 8, 2-11), Mark Elsberry (No. 14, 4-0.25) and Jim Dalgleish (No. 17, 3-3). Ralph Lindo had the longest putt, sinking it from 6 feet 4 inches on No. 9.
