Survey Participants Sought For Adult Day Care Service

The Payson Alzheimer’s Group, the Payson Senior Center and Rim Country Health are conducting a survey to gauge the interest within the community in establishing an adult day care service.

This program would be open to all seniors over the age of 65, except those that are in the advanced stage of Alzheimer’s or an advanced stage of behavioral issues. Medium level skilled care, medium Alzheimer’s participants or those with very mild behaviors would be welcome and encouraged to attend this program. Wheelchair-bound residents are also welcome.

Initially, the program would be open one afternoon a week from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., expanding to more days as the need arises. Participants would receive a snack (only) for the afternoon program.

Payment would be private pay or if the participant qualifies for an AHCCCS or ALTCS program to pay for their day services stay.
