Payson Art League

The Payson Art League meets at 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 15 at the Church of the Nazarene, 200 E. Tyler Parkway, across Highway 87 from Home Depot. The guest speaker, Karla Schultz, will discuss coping with a tremor, focusing on how it affects creating art. She has had a noticeable tremor since her teens, and will share how she is able create her work.

Presently she is drawing and painting a series of women doing traditional crafts.

Payson Area Singles

The Payson Area Singles is a social group for men and women of all ages. There are no dues and no pressure.

A weekly breakfast is held at 9 a.m. Tuesdays at Tiny’s, 600 E. Highway 260. Come find out what activities are planned or suggest something new.

The third Tuesday of the month (April 15) the group gathers at Sal and Teresa’s Mexican Restaurant for dinner at 5 p.m.

Moose Lodge events

The Women of the Moose meet at 6 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month.

The Loyal Order of the Moose meetings are at 6 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. The lodge has a Thursday Fish Fry from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and weekly dinner specials are available.

Masonic Lodge

The Sy Harrison Masonic Lodge #70, located at 200 E. Rancho Road in Payson, meets every Tuesday at 7 p.m. A dinner is held at 5:30 p.m. every second Tuesday for members, families and guests with an after-dinner program followed by the lodge’s Stated Meeting at 7 p.m.

Payson Walkers

The Payson Walkers walk for an hour, mostly on pavement, starting from the following locations at 9 a.m. through the month of April.

• Wednesday – Walgreens

• Thursday – library, Rumsey Park

• Friday - Home Depot

• Saturday – west end of Longhorn

• Sunday – library, Rumsey Park

• Monday – Elks Lodge on Airport Road

• Tuesday – parks & rec office, Green Valley Park.

Rim Country 4 Wheelers

Members of the Rim Country 4 Wheelers (RC4W) invite anyone interested in four-wheel-drive back road travel to join them at 9 a.m. Wednesdays in the Bashas’ shopping center parking lot in front of the Big 5 store.

The route and destination may be prescheduled or may be decided on the spot; the level of difficulty may range from easy to moderate. Saturday trips are also scheduled at least once a month and are usually decided on at the previous month’s meeting. For all trips, have a full tank of gas, lunch, and a lawn chair.

The International Police Association (I.P.A. Region 61 Northern AZ) meets for breakfast at Mazatzal Casino Restaurant at 9 a.m. every Wednesday. All honorably retired law enforcement and active law enforcement personnel are welcome.

Special Needs Family Support Group

The Special Needs Family Support Group luncheons are at noon the third Wednesday of each month at a different restaurant each month. The next meeting is April 16, Crosswinds.

Alzheimer’s Caregivers Support Group

The Alzheimer’s Caregivers Support Group invites caregivers, families, service providers and members of the community to attend any or all of the following:

Payson Area Stroke Survivors

The Payson Area Stroke Survivors is a support group for stroke survivors and their caregivers

An afternoon meeting is held third Wednesday of the month. The next meeting is from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 16. The group meets at the Mogollon Health Alliance Activity Room, 308 E. Aero Dr., Payson.
