Have a box of family recipes to share? Passionate about cooking healthy foods? Do your specialty dishes always get rave reviews? Maybe you should write a cookbook.

Arizona Press Women’s Rim Country District and Majestic Mountain Inn in Payson will present a cookbook writing workshop from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 26 at the hotel, 602 E. Highway 260 (www.majesticmountaininn.com).

The Eat Your Words — Write a Cookbook! workshop will focus on the basics of writing a successful cookbook, as well as exploring publishing options available to writers. The featured speaker is Peggy Martin, a certified nutrition consultant, who presented the popular Cookin’ for Health programs at the Payson Public Library in 2013.

She published a small travel magazine, “Route 260 Review” and has written about food and health topics for newspapers and magazines. Martin served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer and lived in Southeast Asia (where she took cooking courses) prior to moving to Payson. She has also facilitated memoir writing workshops and taught a publishing course for Eastern Arizona College.

The cookbook writing workshop costs $20 if you register by Wednesday, April 23 or $25 at the door. Fee includes light refreshments and handouts.

To register, send your name and contact information and check payable to APW to: Arizona Press Women, 1420 N. Sunrise Court, Payson, AZ 85541. Questions? Contact Gail at 472-7132 or patgail@npgcable.com.
