Car Show Hits Town

This year the Rim Country Classic Auto Club’s Car Show is celebrating the 50 Year Anniversary of the Mustang “Pony Car.”

This weekend’s festivities will start with the Friday night cruise-in and Burger Burn for participants. The free car show itself runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 26. The public is invited to “oooh and ahhh” at the incredible cars on display at Green Valley Park. The show includes vendors, food, raffles, activities for the kids and car show awards.

The vintage cars will line up at 4 p.m. in Green Valley Park for a cruise through town with a police escort. Starting at 4:30 p.m. Friday, the cars will go down Country Club, to Vista, down Bulla, along Airport and then down the hill to Highway 87. From there they’ll go north through to Tyler Parkway, which they take to Highway 260. From there, they return to Green Valley Park.

Come out early on Saturday for the best parking and start strolling through Green Valley Park to admire the many antique, classic and vintage cars on display. Take time to visit with the owners and hear their favorite stories.
