Curiously Interesting

This letter is in reference to the Friday, Aug. 1 Roundup article, “Bunch of rubber stamps?”.

Chris Higgins accuses the current town council of lacking leadership. Robert Lockhart claims, “They clearly appear to follow even though they were elected to lead.” Brown states, “... there is no dialogue or input from everyone on the town council.” The three contenders are running “alongside mayoral candidate Randy Roberson as a slate, dubbed “The Voice of Rim Country.”

This being the case, are voters to believe these four candidates, running as “a slate” for Payson Town Council, will vote independently, rather than following the lead of Randy Roberson?

Just wondering ...

They ought to call themselves “The Voice of Discontentment in Rim Country" since all they can do is bitch, moan and gripe!

They will vote independently. They won't rubber stamp anything. They can all think for themselves and want to get Payson on the right track. No special favors for friends or the rich. They will vote for the good of all the people.
