Scholarship Help For Families

Interested in attending college?

Not sure how to pay for it?

Payson High School will host a scholarship open house organized by Marlene Armstrong the E-CAP (Education and College Action Plan) coordinator to show students and their parents that scholarships can pay for college.

“Parents and students will have an opportunity to talk about where to find scholarships online and locally,” she said.

Armstrong said local organizations, such as Kiwanis, Optimists, the Payson Rimstones Rock Club and the Rotary, will host tables with applications and answers to questions, but she needs help finding out which local organizations give out scholarships. With all of the changes at the high school, the list of organizations has gone missing.

Yet, Armstrong believes this event will help high school seniors and their parents.

“If students bring their essays they can apply (for scholarships) right there,” said Armstrong.
