New members welcomed
Sandi Scott, Soroptimist International of Zane Grey Country president, welcomes the club’s two newest members, Inga Chouinard (left) and Tonnie Dice (right). Soroptimist is a service club, meeting every Wednesday at noon at Tiny’s Restaurant, 600 E. Highway 260. This organization’s mission is to provide services, money and products to women who are in need due to abuse, lack of education and other problems. We work with Time Out, Inc., Payson Community Kids, Rim Country Arizonans for Children, the Women’s Wellness Forum and other groups, locally and throughout the world. The Payson Walkers group continues to meet at various locations around town for an hour’s walk on pavement. The group invites anyone interested to join them at 9 a.m. at the following locations:

• Monday, Feb. 3 – the Elks Lodge on Airport Road
• Tuesday, Feb. 4 – the Parks Office in Green Valley Park

• Thursday, Feb. 6 – the Payson library parking lot
• Friday, Feb. 7 – Home Depot.
Overeaters Anonymous meets from 2 p.m. Mondays at Shepherd of the Pines Lutheran Church, 507 W. Wade Lane, Payson.
There are no fees or dues. The only membership requirement is a desire to not compulsively overeat anymore.

Scouting adventures await boys ages 7 to 18 with Pack 7354. While the group meets at the Shepherd of the Pines Lutheran Church, it is nondenominational and provides a true scouting experience with lots of outdoor activities and the opportunity to learn skills. Both the Pack and Troop meet at 6:30 p.m. Mondays at Shepherd of the Pines Lutheran Church fellowship hall, 507 W. Wade Lane, Payson. For details, call (928) 950-4576.
Order of the Eastern Star
The Ponderosa Chapter #64 O.E.S. meets at 7 p.m. the first and third Mondays at the Masonic Lodge, 200 E. Rancho Rd., Payson.
A potluck dinner is held at 5:30 at the second meeting of the month.
All Eastern Star members are invited. Ladies with any Masonic family affiliation are encouraged to join the group.
In addition to the meetings, the ladies gather at 10 a.m. every Wednesday for a fun game of canasta.

The Tuesday Morning Breakfast Bunch, a group of single men and women, meet at 9 a.m. every Tuesday at Tiny’s Restaurant, 600 E. Highway 260, to visit and plan future activities.

Friendship Bible Class

Veterans of Foreign Wars

The Women of the Moose meet at 6 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month.
The Loyal Order of the Moose meetings are at 6 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
