Question The Integrity Of Doctors Prescribing Pot

Editor:

As reported by the Roundup’s Alexis Bechman in her recent article about marijuana: “Perhaps the most striking thing in the report is that 25 doctors have signed about 70 percent of the 36,000 or so certifications in year two,” according to State Health Director Will Humble.

This sentence casts a doubt on the integrity of these doctors.

It would be more telling if this reporter was to make a few phone calls to local doctors and see how very few of them will write a prescription for medical marijuana.

They, like State Attorney General Tom Horne and the Maricopa County attorney, have taken it on themselves to refuse to support the use of medical marijuana, despite the fact that the use was passed by the voters in a legal election.

Another plus for Medical Marijuana> Water crisis in California-LA Times newspaper To the west, the heavy water demand of growers of medical marijuana — six gallons per plant per day during a 150-day period — is drawing down streams where salmon and other endangered fish species spawn.

As usual Mr. Evans, you have no idea what you are talking about. While you continuously rant about how much you love the Constitution, you would happily do away with a law voted in by a majority of the voters...see the Constitution for what it is..not just YOUR interpretation!!
