Mary Hoeger and Debbie Vincent will be representing the Payson Women’s Golf Association nine-hole group at the annual Arizona Women’s Golf Association nine-hole State Medallion Club Team Tournament to be held in January.
Hoeger will represent the Lady Niners in the low gross competition and Vincent will compete in the low net category. In order to qualify, the members had to post either a low gross or low net score out of their two best front nine holes of play and two of their best back nine holes of play.
Also in June, Linda Teasley, Moe Vossler and Debbie Nichols won closest-to-the-pin, Teasley and Hoeger had birdies and Valerie Smith and Nina Szakal had chip-ins.
Brookie Colman won the Fewest Putts event on May 8. Nichols was first, Hoeger second and Teasley third in the May 15 Three Clubs and a Putter event.
On May 22, Cindy Hennings and Vincent won the Bingo, Bango, Bongo event. Bette Walgren placed second and Nichols third.
Moe Vossler, Cindy Hennings and Debbie Nichols won the May 29 Scramble. Hennings, Ann Adams and Mary Quigley won closest-to-the-pin. Vossler had a birdie.
