Senior Center Bingo
The Payson Senior Center and Payson Helping Payson host Bingo every Friday at the Senior Center, 514 W. Main St.
Tickets go on sale at noon and games start at 1 p.m.
A full “Blue Plate Special” lunch is also served from noon to 2 p.m.
Computer group gathers
The Payson Area Computer Association’s next general meeting is at 6:30 p.m., Friday, June 6 in the community room of the Payson Public Library.
The meeting topic is Etsy.com, which is a marketplace where people around the world connect to buy and sell unique goods.
Tamara Swanson of Ladybug Designs will talk about setting up and running an Etsy store.
The club’s general meetings are held the first Friday of each month with a member “Fix-it” meeting held mid-month.

Family Movie Night
The congregation of Shepherd of the Pines Lutheran Church, 507 W. Wade Lane, Payson, invites Rim residents and visitors to attend a Family Movie Night at 6:30 p.m., Friday, June 6 at the church. The event and refreshments are free.

Learn about the Jewish roots of Christianity
Interested about Christianity and its Jewish roots?
Payson residents planning to start a Jewish Roots Bible Study in Payson, had a successful meeting two weeks ago. They are again inviting Rim residents and visitors to come and hear Theologian and Spokesperson, Dr. William Hepfner, a Christian Pastor with Jewish heritage and training.
He will answer questions about the Scriptural importance of Jewish Roots, Feasts and Festivals of Israel and will share the relevance and importance of learning both Old and New Testament Scriptures.
The new Bible and cultural study is at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, June 7.

St. Philip’s changes Saturday Mass schedule
Due to the bright light of the setting sun streaming through the sanctuary’s stained glass windows behind the altar and causing vision discomfort to the parishioners, St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church’s 5:30 p.m. Saturday Vigil Mass is at 4 p.m., starting Saturday, June 7. Confession will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
These changes are permanent.
Special Bible Study
Shepherd of the Pines Lutheran Church, 507 W. Wade Lane, Payson, is holding a special Bible study at regular Sunday services.
Rim residents and visitors are invited to join the journey. This week’s theme is Wandering.

Rim Country Photography/Camera Club meets at 6:30 p.m., Monday, June 9.
The program is a review of the photographs presented thus far for the 2015 calendar project.
Members of the Rim Country Camera Club wish to promote photography and showcase the unique Rim Country area. The calendar will be published as a stunning piece of art with wonderful photographs by members and others. A total of 13 winning photos are needed to complete the calendar, which will be for members and for sale to the public. Profits will be donated to a local charity.
If time permits, Greg McKelvey will provide tips to photograph owls and butterflies. The meeting is open to all those interested in photography and there is no charge to attend.

Rim Area Gardeners
The Rim Area Gardeners’ program for June 9 is on rainwater harvesting with Bruce Wales.
The group meets at 7 p.m. at the Church of Christ, 401 E. Tyler Parkway, Payson, the second Monday of the month.
All interested Rim residents and visitors are invited to come out at 6:45 p.m. to join members for refreshments and then enjoy assorted topics related to gardening in Rim Country.

Payson Womans Club
The Payson Womans Club, the oldest service club in Payson, holds general membership meetings at 1 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at the Payson Womans Club building, 510 W. Main St. Membership is open to local women ages 18 and up.
Moose Lodge events
The Loyal Order of the Moose meetings are at 6 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. The Women of the Moose meet at 6 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month.
The lodge has a Thursday Fish Fry from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and weekly dinner specials are available.

Beyond Limits Disability Ministry
The annual picnic for Beyond Limits will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 10 in the ramada at Mountain Bible Church, 302 E. Rancho Road, Payson.
Hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks will be provided, free of charge. Participants should bring a salad, fruit or beans. Food, fellowship, music and inspiration will guarantee a lively evening. Families, caregivers and service providers are always welcome.
Beyond Limits is an interdenominational Christian group for adults with developmental disabilities. As a 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt public charity, all donations are fully tax deductible.

Join the Gila County Sheriff’s Posse
The Gila County Sheriff’s Posse is looking for new members.
The Posse was founded back in 1967 as a volunteer group to serve the Sheriff and the people of Gila County. The Posse is called on for many emergencies such as forest fires, floods and snow.
Meetings are held at 7 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at the Gila County Sheriff’s Posse building, located just north of Main Street on McLane Road. The public is invited.
