The Mogollon Health Alliance wants applications for its Human Health Career Scholarship by the end of March.
Any individual currently attending school and/or working in Northern Gila County, or whose parents, grandparents or legal guardian resides in Gila County, may apply for the scholarship. The funds may be used to begin or continue education that will lead to a human health care career in the laboratory, physical or respiratory therapy, nursing, radiology, pharmacy, medicine, social work, etc.
The forms to apply for the scholarship are available at the MHA office, 308 E. Aero Dr., Payson; at the Payson Regional Medical Center information desk; the Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce; the Payson Roundup office, 708 N. Beeline Hwy.; at Payson High School and the Payson campus of Gila Community College; and online at www.mogollonhealthalliance.com.
A scholarship committee oversees the award process. All applicants will be notified of their scholarship status at the end of April. The funds shall apply directly to the cost of tuition and books and will be mailed directly to the institution the recipient will enroll on or after July 1, 2014. GCC students must submit their registration form or request it be sent to MHA prior to disbursement of the award. Unused funds must be returned to the MHA by March 1, 2015.
