Members of the Rim Country Celts plan a series of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations around the community over the next few days.
The group, in conjunction with Historic Journigan House, sponsors a St. Patrick’s Day Celebration from noon to 6 p.m., Saturday, March 15.
Cinnamon Twist — Anne James and Jennifer Baltz — and Captain Bob offer traditional Irish songs. The duo performs at 1 p.m. and the soloist is on stage at 3 p.m., accompanying himself on the guitar with James on mandolin. At 2:30 p.m. James offers a special presentation on St. Patrick. Storyteller Alice Natale shares some Irish folk tales. Cinnamon Twist will conclude the program with Irish tunes. A silent auction and 50/50 auction are part of the festivities as well.
More Irish tales
The Library Friends of Payson’s own Alice Natale will share Irish tales with the community on Monday, March 17, St. Patrick’s Day, at 10:30 a.m.
A graduate of AZ Storytellers Institute and a member of the East Valley Tellers of Tales, Natale volunteers for several community organizations and tells stories to children in local schools.
Irish music and stories
Rim Country Celts and Dimi Espresso Cafe present an evening of Irish music and stories on Wednesday, March 19. Cinnamon Twist performs at 6 p.m. with Irish stories by Alice Natale at 7 p.m. at the coffee house in the Swiss Village. Hopefully, many who attend the free event will wear their favorite Celtic or Irish apparel. For information, contact James at (928) 951-4420.
