Taylor is a rare commodity in music; a world-class player with a passion for performing and teaching.
Ihlenfeld is the consummate jazz pianist; one who has mastered his playing style and composition skill.
Both received their advanced university education in music. Taylor a master’s degree from Miami of Ohio, with doctorate studies at the University of Cincinnati; and Ihlenfeld a master’s degree with a specialization in tuba performance.
Both have taught music at the collegiate and secondary school level, and given clinics.
Taylor studied at the Jamey Aerbersold clinic/camps furthering his jazz theory, composition and performance capability. His jazz voice on trumpet and flugelhorn will enhance this experience.
Ihlenfeld is experienced at performing live in clubs, restaurants and clinics. He plays weekly as the house pianist at the Pita Jungle jazz jam in Chandler.
This performance will be an ideal teaching experience for students. The musicians will be available after the performance to speak with anyone interested learning to play an instrument.
