Payson Needs A Bmx Park

I have been wondering why doesn’t Payson have a BMX park like the skaters in Payson have a skate park? My friends and I ride BMX bikes all around town, but don’t have anywhere to do jumps or anything. I was wondering if the town of Payson would be willing to build an “only bike” park, so that we aren’t always getting flat tires on dirt trails, but where we can have fun in a park with jumps.

We younger kids need a place to hang out — not at the skate park where people smoke cigarettes and drink and everything.

Please email me at garrett.p.lance@gmail.com with a response.

I think that if we can build a BMX park in town more and more people will be going there with bikes, either learning how to ride, learning how to do tricks, or even just going there to hang out and have a good time.

I think that if we can get together and put a petition together to see how many people are interested.

Thank you very much for letting me share this and I hope to hear back from those interested in a BMX park.

What Payson needs is to quit catering to the kids. I grew up here and rode a bike without a park. Never had a flat tire. We played softball on a gravel field. And believe it or not some of us even had jobs, besides helping our parents at home. If the kids want a bike park get the kids parents to put up the money for it. Like the people put up money for a dog park for their dogs. I have already contributed to things for my kids, grandkids and now great grandkids. Either kids are on some kind of electronic machine or whine for something to entertain them. Get out in the fresh air and do something physical. There was a goofy golf course here, a batting range a place to go and dance, study or what ever. No one wanted to go to any of them and they all closed. Get a life.

I can truly say that i wish the Skate Park was removed from Rumsey Park. Kids hang out there and smoke and use foul language, use obscenities frequently, play loud music which has obscenities in the lyrics and even worse seem to think they can go into the girls restroom as they wish. Not too long ago there was a drug bust there and on multiple occasions while walking by the skate park there was the strong odor of marijuana. Young girls use Rumsey 1 as their field for softball games and it is just not a very good environment for these girls to be exposed to. I say they should move the whole mess elsewhere or completely do away with it!
