The Mountain High Games, coming June 6 and 7, is the Southwest’s largest celebration of adventure sports including the Mogollon Monster Mudder 5K and the Monster Truck Night of Fire and Thrills.
Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the cool mountain temperatures while competing in or watching the Mogollon Monster Mudder 5K. The course contains more than 30 man-made and natural obstacles.
One of last year’s competitors, Stacy North said, “It was one of the most incredibly physically challenging things I have ever done, but one of the most awesome experiences! I can't wait for the upcoming event in 2014. My whole family is going to do it this time.”
Entry fee is $70 or $55 with a valid Rim Country I.D. Register online at paysonrimcountry.com or sign up at the Payson Event Center.
On-site registration is from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, June 6, or from 6 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on race day, Saturday, June 7.
Spectators are admitted free.
There will be a Police vs. Fire Mud Run at 5 p.m. Friday, June 6.
On Saturday, June 7, register from 6 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The first heat of the Mogollon Monster Mudder 5K is at 9 a.m. There will be a beer garden and live entertainment beginning at 10 a.m. The Kids’ Monster Mud Run takes place at 12:30 p.m.
Monster Truck Show
The Monster Trucks Night of Fire and Thrills Spectacular is Saturday, June 7 at the Payson Event Center. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. Come early to join the Pit Party, meet the drivers and see the trucks.
