The Payson Roundup / Obituaries

Patrick (Ozzie) King, a part-time resident of Payson, died Sept. 26, 2008 in Phoenix. He was born March 17, 1925 in Ray, Ariz.
He was a graduate of Arizona State University and an All-Star football player. In 1963, he became the first head football coach of the then-new Dysart High School in Surprise. He served there until his retirement in 1985.
He is survived by his four sons, Chris, Jim, Marc and Phil; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Ann.
