Fern Lucille Horner
Fern Lucille Zerkel Horner was born July 16, 1920 in Winfield, Kan.
She had many hobbies including porcelain and graffito oil painting. She had her own shop and was also county treasurer for Cowley County, Kan., while her husband was overseas in Africa and Italy during World War II.
She was also a stocks and bonds analyst. She retired in 1980 from the Kansas Air Guard along with her husband, Francis, a master builder with the Corps of Engineers of the Kansas Air Guard.
She is survived by her husband, Francis; one son in Tucson; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She will be buried in the National Cemetery of Phoenix. There will be only a graveside service.
