B. Jane West

Billie Jane West, a longtime resident of Pine, died Oct. 13, 2009 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law in the Tonto Basin area. She was born Feb. 5, 1936 in Dayton, Ohio.
She raised her family in the West, residing in a number of locations before settling in Pine in 1980. Here she touched many lives and made many friends.
With her kind and loving heart, Mrs. West always put the welfare of others, including all of nature’s animals, ahead of her own. She cherished her family, friends, the great outdoors and happiness.
She is survived by daughter, Vicki West; sons, Rick and Rex West; grandchildren, Trever, Trace, Vanessa and Hillary; and great-grandchild, Alexis Van Den Bosch.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 20 at the First Baptist Church in Pine.
