William (Bill) Riley Quick 1946 - 2009

William Riley Quick

William (Bill) Riley Quick died Oct. 5, 2009 at his home in Fort Laramie, Wyo.
Mr. Quick was born Aug. 3, 1946 in Woodland, Calif., the son of James A. York of Payson.
He was 63 and had just retired after 30 years with the Burlington Northern & S.F. Railroad.
He leaves behind his wife, Nancy; two sons, Brandon and Dustin; two stepdaughters, Stephanie and Michelle; his father, James A. York; sisters, Barbara Smith of Esparto, Calif. and Karen York Leeds of Skwenta, Alaska; brothers, Stephen Quick of Oak Harbor, Wash. and Brian York of Tucson; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Quick attended local schools in Payson and worked for the Forest Service before joining the U.S. Navy.
He moved to Denver after the service and went to work for the railroad. In time, he moved to Fort Laramie where he and Nancy made their home.
Eventually his and Nancy’s ashes will be scattered in their favorite hunting spot.
