Edythe M. Finley
1931 - 2008
Edythe M. Finley, a longtime resident of the Lamplighter RV Park in Star Valley, died Oct. 21, 2008 in Payson.
She was born Oct. 20, 1931 in Basin, Wyo. to Joseph Williamson and Nina Peavler Williamson and was married to the late Earl H. Finley on Nov. 11, 1952.
She was an active member and guiding light to many Payson TOPS members along with being Sunshine Lady for TOPS, the RV park and local Red Hat Ladies; she was also a member of the Moose Lodge and Eastern Star.
Preceding her in death were her husband and her parents.
She is survived by her two sons, Dennis “Scott” Finley and his wife Delese of Lake Stevens, Wash. and Joseph H. Finley, of Marysville, Wash. and Jonnie Hoag of Marysville, Wash.; grandsons, Christopher J. Finley of Issaquah, Wash. and Glen H. Finely of Camp Pendleton, Calif.; granddaughter, Tracy L. Finley of Burlington, Wash.; great-grandson, Hayen J. Finley of Spokane, Wash.; sister, Charlotte (Charles) Downey of Wheatland, Wash.; and nieces, Angie Koenig of Wheatlon, Wyo., Colleen Posey of Laramie, Wyo., Mary Jo Currey of Waco, Ill., Erin Knoxull of Boise, Idaho and Ginger Downing of Phoenix.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 27 at the recreation hall of the Lamplighter RV Park, Highway 260 in Star Valley. A luncheon will follow at the same location.
