Paula L. Hodgdon
Paul L. Hodgdon died Sept. 7, 2008 in Covington, Ga. He was born in 1923 in Massachusetts.
He served in the Army during World War II as part of the 101st Screaming Eagles and then with the 82nd Airborne.
He married Rosa, started his family, and then moved to Phoenix in 1954.
Some of his favorite things to do were to go big game hunting and to NASCAR races all over the country.
Mr. Hodgdon worked in the lab for AirResearch, which became Garrett Corporation, and then became Honeywell, for 31 years. He retired in 1985 and he and his wife of 63 years moved to the place that they had built below the Mogollon Rim in Payson.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa Hodgdon; daughters, Sandy Skinner and Cindy Barton; sons-in-law, Richard Skinner and Clark Barton; grandchildren, Amy E. Skinner, Adrian H. Skinner, Krischa Pilcher, Raegan Barton and Nick Barton; grandson-in-law, Ron Pilcher; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Munguia, Ashton Cobasky, Landon and Preston Pilcher.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 5 at Ponderosa Baptist Church.
