Ruth Decker, 91, died Sept. 21, 2008 at the RTA Hospice. She was born in Otley, Iowa.
Mrs. Decker had been a resident of the Ordinary Lifestyles home since coming to Payson until a week before her death.
She was the widow of Rev. Forest L. Decker, a minister of the Reformed Church of America, and spent most of her life in New Jersey and New York where he had served as pastor of five churches. She had resided in Payson for the last nine years.
She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Decker and Christine Tilley, both of Payson; three granddaughters, Lisa Conley of Payson, Laura Smith of Phoenix and Anne Lubenow of Bethseda, Md. At the time of her death she had six great-grandchildren, including Daniel, 15, and Colter, 10, sons of Lisa and George Conley.
A memorial service is being arranged. Interment will be in New Jersey.
