Janet Beecher Brown
May 5, 1939 - April 23, 2009
Janet Beecher Brown, 69, died April 23, 2009 at her home in Payson, with her family at her side. She was born May 5, 1939 in Watsonville, Calif.
She grew up in Kailua, Hawaii where she met and married Tom Brown and became a military wife for 23 years. She worked at the El Toro Marine base stables for 18 years and became a second mom to many young people while working there.
She moved to Payson in 2000 where she became involved with the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program and helped adopt three children to loving homes. She also volunteered at the Payson Police Department as a receptionist; her favorite thing to do while there was to call the people on the PATH list.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Dorothy Beecher; and her brother, Keith Beecher.
She leaves behind her husband, Tom, to whom she was married for 49 years; daughter, Andrea Krisher; sons, Robert Brown and Michael Brown; grandchildren, Nathan, Cody and Kyleigh; sisters, Sally and Charlene; and brothers, Jim and Jamey. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Payson for all the care and support they showed Mrs. Brown and her family during this difficult time. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and we all love and miss her. Forever in our hearts.
Private services will be held on the Big Island of Hawaii.
