Judy Lee Rolle
November 26, 1938 - December 19, 2009
Judy Lee Rolle, 71, died Dec. 19, 2009. She was born Nov. 26, 1938 in Phoenix to the late Thomas Leo and Dorothy Hernan.
She is survived by her daughters, Melinda Quinn, Carin Everhard and Jaymie Jacobs; six grandchildren; her brother, Thomas Hernan; and niece, Tracey Slauterbeck.
Her family writes, Mrs. Rolle was a wonderful, dedicated mom to her three girls and grandchildren who were her pride and joy. She had an eye and ear for all things beautiful. She was an accomplished oil-based painter and talented singer and toured with the Phoenix Kachina Sweet Adelines in the early 1970s.
Mrs. Rolle was active in community service. She was the treasurer, chair of the Candlelight Capers and eventually president of the Good Samaritan Auxiliary.
She moved to her beloved Kohl’s Ranch outside Payson in 1993 where she was the homeowners association treasurer for nine years.
In 2005 Mrs. Rolle was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness, strengthening her faith and gaining many caring and supportive friends.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 29 at 812 E. Granite Road, Payson.
