Ruth Wanda Patten

Ruth Wanda Patten died Feb. 18, 2009 at the Capri Care Center in Phoenix, surrounded by her son, Jim, and others.
Ruth Jones was born Dec. 9, 1916 in Malad, Idaho. Later she met and married Howard Patten of Plaza, N.D. They lived in Washington State, and then later moved to Parshall, N.D., working and raising their five children.
After the death of her husband, Mrs. Patten moved to Arizona. She resided in Payson for many years, being active in the Senior Center and The Rock of Ages Lutheran Church.
Her five children and nine grandchildren survive her.
A visitation is scheduled from noon until 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 25 at Messinger Payson Funeral Home, 302 W. Aero Dr. in Payson. The memorial service will begin at 2 p.m.
