Miriam W. Crawford

Miriam W. Crawford died Jan. 9, 2009 at home in Payson. She was born Aug. 22, 1920.
Mrs. Crawford worked at Northrop Aircraft for 33 years in Hawthorne, Calif., missing only three days of work.
She was a gifted writer and poet, and a member of the Arizona State Poetry Society since 1988. She also worked in the real estate industry in Pine, affiliated with Harvest Homes and Realty.
She was married to Frank Garner and was stepmother to his children, Ida, Margaret and David. They had three sons, Claude Garner, Richard Garner and John Garner.
She was married to Leon Crawford for 45 years before his death Nov. 2, 2008. He worked as a postman and at Payson Walmart for 10 to 15 years.
