Walter E. Bauer

Walter E. Bauer, 84 of Lebanon, Tenn., formerly of Payson, died Jan. 22, 2009 at Lebanon Health Care. He was born May 29, 1924 in Williams County, Ohio.
Mr. Bauer served as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
Later he was a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the Elks Club.
He is survived by his stepdaughter, Karen (Toney) Fowler of Lebanon, Tenn.; five step-grandchildren, Katrina Reneé Parker, Timothy Todd Fowler, Matthew Cato Blu Fowler, Jenny Kay Jacobson and Kathryn June Dailey; 17 step-great-grandchildren and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, June Leaske Bauer on Feb. 8, 2008.
