Paul G. Reeves
Paul G. Reeves, 92, died July 18, 2009 with his family at his side in Phoenix. He was born in Colorado Springs, Colo. in 1916 to Gilbert F. and Lennah Collings Reeves.
Mr. Reeves’ family moved to Golden, Colo. in 1918. He played football in the 1937 Cotton Bowl for the University of Colorado and graduated in 1940.
He was a very talented artist and worked for Coors Brewing as the director of advertising until 1956 when he moved his family to Phoenix to start his own advertising company. He was a blue ribbon winner at an art show in Pine
He retired from teaching commercial art at the Maricopa Technical College in Phoenix.
Mr. Reeves is survived by four children, Dottie Colvis, Tony Reeves, Holly Taylor and Michael Reeves; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanch Reeves. They were married for 61 years.
A memorial service in Phoenix will be announced in August and a graveside service will be held in Golden, Colo. in September.
