Alberto “Tata” Jacquez Sr. died July 23, 2009. He was born Nov. 2, 1933 in Mexico, but spent the majority of his life in St. David, Ariz.
He worked for the Apache Powder Nitrogen Plant for 43 years. He was a resident of Payson for the last 11 years. He loved the outdoors and his family.
“He was ‘the rock, the foundation’ of this very close, large family and will be greatly missed; but he will live on every day in the hearts of all of us that he so deeply touched. We do not say goodbye, but we let you go to dance with the angels until we are together again. We love you, Tata,” writes his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Jacquez; daughters, Mary Jacquez and Lydia Cobb; and granddaughter, Mary Nicole Jacquez.
Mr. Jacquez is survived by his daughters, Rose (Remo) Villalobos of Benson, Yvonne Brown of Payson and Margie Rogers of Star Valley; sons, Albert (Deanna) Jacquez Jr. of St. David and Adam (Thea) Jacquez Sr. of Payson; 25 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren on the way; as well as countless other family and friends.
Services will be held at 9 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 1 at the LDS church in St. David, Ariz.
