Lee Opal Dickson

Lee Opal Dickson died July 25, 2009 with her family members around her. She was born Oct. 27, 1918 to Hugh and Anna Ingraham in Salina, Okla.
She grew up in western Montana and lived the early part of her life in Washington, as well as Montana. She moved to Phoenix and spent 30 years there. She enjoyed the last 22 years of her life in Payson.
She married Charles M. Dickson on March 13, 1942 and together they reared six children. They were married until his death in 1974.
Survivors include daughters and son, Sandra Hackleman, Craig Dickson, Peggy (Gene) Zaic, Kathleen Staelens, Charlene (Bob) Phipps and Beth (Jim) McDonald. She is also survived by one brother, Lloyd Ingraham and his wife Peg; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Dickson was active as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for most of her life.
She will be remembered at a memorial to be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 1 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1616 N. McLane Road in Payson.
