Ralph K. Anderson
Ralph K. Anderson, of Pine, died March 6, 2009 after a brief illness.
Mr. Anderson was born in Miami, Ariz. in 1930, where his father, Alton (Slim) Anderson was supervising the building of Highway U.S. 60; and his mother, Lucile Anderson was the construction camp’s cook. The family made their home in a tent with a door.
He graduated from North High School in Phoenix and went into law enforcement training at Fresno State College in California. He then spent most of his life in law enforcement in the Chandler and Phoenix areas after returning from four years in the U.S. Navy.
He was a seaman on the ammunition ship USS Paricutin AE 18 during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Bender Anderson of Pine; his son, Rick (Debi) of Camp Verde; two grandsons, Logan (Josie) and Ryan; his brother, James (Linda) of Gilbert; and one sister, Stella Henny of Chandler; and several cousins, nieces and one nephew.
