Carl Frank Eyler

Carl Frank Eyler, 89, of Mesa, died March 17, 2009. He was born March 7, 1920 in Douglas, Kan. to Carl and Marva Whan.
Mr. Eyler served in the Navy during World War II. Upon returning, he went back to work for the Miami Copper Company. In 1959 he began his career with APS. He worked at several APS power plants including Ocotillo, Cholla, Four Corners and West Phoenix. He retired in 1982 as a maintenance supervisor, greatly respected for his mechanical expertise.
In retirement, Mr. Eyler was known for his woodworking, making intricate wooden toys and furniture for his family, friends and church.
He is survived by his sons, Gary (Pat) and James (Monica); daughter-in-law, Karen; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Daisy; and his oldest son, William.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, March 27 at the Payson United Methodist Church, 414 N. Easy St.
