Melva Ann Gibson
Melva Ann Gibson, 88, died Sept. 27, 2009 in Payson. She was also a resident of Cornville, Ariz.
Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her husband, Rowe Gibson; and her son, Melvin Stewart and daughter-in-law, Laveta Stewart.
She is survived by her sons, Ron Gibson and Don (Erin) Gibson, both of Payson; granddaughters, Laurie (Brian) Brunson of Payson, Kelley Pendergast of Palo Verde, Renee (Chet) Teeters of Camp Verde, Emmy (Billy) Spalding of Shreeveport, La., Cassidy (Cody) Kelton of Paulden, and Veronica (Jason) Wells of Cumming, Ga.; grandsons, Brett (Karrie Ann) Gibson of Anacordest, Wash. and Todd Gibson of Phoenix.
Also surviving are her sister, Irene Hatch of Snowflake; great-grandchildren, Allesha (Levi) Herrera, Nichole (Lance) Chabot, Curtis Kelton, Carter Kelton, Liam Spalding and Noah Spalding; as well as three great-great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Mrs. Gibson worked for the city of Buckeye for more than 20 years.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 7 at Payson Pioneer Cemetery.
