Paul Lester Ritz

Paul Lester Ritz, 93, died Aug. 31, 2009 at Hospice Compassus. He was born July 16, 1916 in Pittsburgh, Pa. to Nicholas C. Ritz and Elizabeth B. Richmond.
Mr. Ritz served in the Army during World War II as a member of the Counterintelligence Corps.
He is survived by his second wife of six years, Marlene; daughter, Linda (Dick) Olson; son, Dennis (Anne) Ritz; and grandchildren, Sarah Olson, Jennifer (Brad) Kelly and Nick Ritz.
He was married 62 years to Evelyn Dick who preceded him in death.
He worked as a carpenter and a homebuilder in his early years and later retired from civil service as an inspector and maintenance person for Kinzura Dam.
He moved to Pine from Pennsylvania. He was an avid square dancer and world traveler.
Interment was at 9:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 4 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road in Phoenix.
