Annabel BeDillon, 93, formerly of Payson and more recently of Phoenix, died Jan. 10, 2010. She was born April 7, 1916 in Lone Elm, Kan. and grew up in southeast Kansas.
She married Lee BeDillon and they began their life together, first in northeast Kansas and then in Arizona. They moved to Casa Grande in 1945 where they both worked for the public schools. Mrs. BeDillon spent many years as a fourth-grade teacher and later as a school librarian for the Casa Grande Elementary School District.
After retirement, Annabel and Lee enjoyed traveling and living in Payson. About 10 years ago they moved to Phoenix.
Mrs. BeDillon was preceded in death by her husband, Lee; son, Ron; and granddaughters, Denise and Renee.
She is survived by her son, Nyle (Maureen) BeDillon of Centennial, Colo.; daughter, Ann A’Lee (Mike) Miles of Phoenix; grandchildren, Brian (Patti) BeDillon, Brent BeDillon, Diana (Anthony) Perez, Stephanie Crow and Danielle BeDillon; eight great-granddaughters, Heather, Erika, Nikki, Cassie, Taylor, Shantel, Kristina and Amanda; and three great-grandsons, Seth, Dillon and Colton; plus one great-great-grandson, Angel Lee.
She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who enjoyed hearing the stories about all of the ancestors.
“Bless you Mom, the Lord has received a good and faithful servant,” writes her family.
Services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 16 at the chapel at Messinger Payson Funeral Home, 302 W. Aero Drive. A graveside service will follow at Mountain Meadows Memorial Park.
