Helena Gibson, a longtime resident of the Payson area, died Jan. 20, 2010 at the age of 95.
Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bert.
She is survived by her two daughters, Betty Jo Gibson and Carmen Hardesty; grandchildren, Debra Alden, Holli Morasch and James Ringer; great-grandchildren Bret Gibson and Samantha Ringer; and two great-great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Zackury Gibson.
Born Sept. 2, 1914 in Jireh, Wyo., Mrs. Gibson moved to Arizona in the early 1950s where she was always a high energy person working several years for Arizona Auctioneers traveling around the state. Later, in Payson, she continued to work part time and do volunteer work at the local library.
Mrs. Gibson loved good food, socializing and during the early years in Payson enjoyed playing golf with her friends. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room and will be missed by all, her family writes.
